THE ISLAND OF AEOLUS (CRETE)
Our fifth stop is The Island of Aeolus, or Crete. Its population is 600,000. Its elevation is 2,456 m. Its industry is Agriculture. Crete is on the south part of Greece. Crete is the fifth largest island in Greece. According to ancient mythology, Crete was home to the Labyrinth, a huge maze underground Crete. This maze was the death place to many heroes because the Minotaur lived down their. The Minotaur would eat all the heroes who tried to defeat him right up. Until Theseus defeated the Minotaur and destroyed the Labyrinth. In Odysseus's journey, his ship arrives on Aeolus's island and Aeolus gives Odysseus all the bad winds so they could sail home. But his men open the bag and all the winds escape. So, enjoy Crete and it's many wonders, and have fun!
